Kitty prowling the town....

Okay so after getting mega excited about New Years, I never actually did a decent blog about it!

Pani, R & E and myself organised a night out at Riva on St.Kilda marina. I had been so excited for it because I just assumed it would be commercial house all night and then sneaky sound system. I love a good dance after a few drinks... I remember a few years ago going to the Point and singing my guts out to Ricki Lee and my friend looking at me with the what the hell is going on, you must be off your face drunk look hahahaha. E came to get us around 8ish...and Pani and I were still mucking around with lip gloss, perfume and sculling the last dash of moscato.

This my friends is the bomb! I love this Moscato, its got the perfect fizz and tastes yum. I intend to get this on the menu for after work drinks at the office, but hey any moscato will do!

I didn't take any pictures of the outfit I wore, probably because I was enjoying the moscato too much to stop and do poses haha... but I just took some now so you can see my outfit. It isn't anything exciting, but I went for comfort, as I knew we would be on the lawn all night.

My boobs look slightly gigantic in this.. maybe more than usual. This is NOT a good thing. A guy walked past me and used them as bongos followed by a creepy wink... is this how the youngins show interest now. I find this quite odd! FYI yes that is a shower cap in the back ground.. water on straight hair is my enemy!

Okay so we get to Riva and realised that we had to purchase drink cards.. the choice was $100 or $40... how ridiculous, what if I want to spend $70 huh huh! But anyway Pani and I settled for the $100 card, and see how we go! The shot selection was limited and the only one that was okay were 'wet pussies'... is it just me or do you feel like thats just wrong for a drink name?!?

Our tickets were lawn access only but I'm glad we chose that, the VIP section looked totally lame. They were just standing there looking down at all the fun!

These are the few photos I got from the night,...

I looked up at midnight, and this discoball was there to greet me!

Yes thats a stage, and as usual my awesome photography shows EVERYTHING that is happening.

Pani and myself... my golly we are hot! hahaha

We had a fun night, but it could have been a bit better. But as far as new years events I can't complain although the 1am finish sucked. The music.. I dunno, I thought it was too hardcore. I just wanted more commercial stuff I could also sing along to. They played Don't you worry Child and the crowd went nuts singing and stuff.. and it went back to the same lame stuff. I am not a big fan of sneaky sound system (they were headline act), but my friend E wasn't really impressed -- I don't think she knows all their stuff and she just wanted to hear them main stuff right away. I also thought everyone seemed in groups, so mingling was kinda awkward. But I guess it was New Years, you do want to be around your mates, not randoms. But after a few drinks, I must admit, I love a chat with weirdos hahaha

A few weeks later we all went to Spice Market as my final night out before I left back to Gtown. I had fun, although it did take me a while to get into it. There were some dodgy guys that were amusing us all night, and this crazy girl that was way to in love with the podium - that was her terrain -- she really didn't want to share haha. I love crowd watching, just funny seeing how people operate. Guys standing on the sides of the room waiting to pounce, girls giggling and laughing in their groups tossing back their hair, guys asking you if your interested in their friend as opposed to their friend asking you. Sometimes I feel like we all still operate as if it is a year 8 social, except we can actually buy drinks and not smuggle them in haha. Was such a fun night, we did get our picture on the website, but it was not my finest. This always happens when I have club shots taken, I'm probably too messed up to care!

Spring has Sprung!

Heya guys!

My weekend went far too far fast as usual! On Saturday I thought I'd pop into Highpoint to go and hunt down that Penny Peplum top I rambled on about last post. So I rang up Portmans and made sure they had it in stock and off I went... all was going well until I hit the car parks! OMG! Drainer! After driving around in circles for a while I gave up and went straight to the city! I should really have opted for this in the first place, but never mind!

I went straight to Melbourne Central and found the top! Horray! It is a bit shorter than anticipated, but I still love it. I wish there were more of these peplum tops in a cotton type fabric with a cap sleeve. Sportsgirls Peplum tops are awesome, great colours but they are all sleeveless! How much better is Sportsgirl lately! I've seen a few cute dresses in there of late. I think I might give it more of a chance now.

Anyway as I raced out of the shops, really to avoid more spending, I spotted this necklace in Forever New that would go well with that black peplum top I bought on Friday. I really need some cute statement necklaces! This was $25 ... and I think money well spent!

So by Saturday evening I ventured down to Gtown to visit mum and dad. Far out Dad was so excited about the lap top, he ripped open the box right away and was mucking around on it most of the evening. He said wow it has a webcam now I can talk to you all the time ... so we set up skype accounts haha I'm sure the thrill will pass! I'm not keen on this webcam type scenario!

On Sunday we went out to lunch at the Lord of Isles... my parents regular. They love it! I think my parents are very much creatures of habit. When my brother walked in he said, oh you have the warnie look going on, referring to my lippy looking like zinc hahaha Thanks! My other brother is overseas at the moment -- how is this, he went to book a ticket home on the 29 of August except he did it for September instead. Now he is stuck for another month lol... this is typical of him! I dunno why you would want to come home early anyway! Enjoy it all while you can!

Anyway after that I went to visit Pani who had a few adventures to tell me about. That girl I tell you, 29 going on 18! haha (Sorry Pani)! She managed to pass onto me a few bits and pieces that she knew I might like! ahh Such a good friend!

I love the Photoready make up and this powder... people always comment on my skin. This stuff really is the key people!

The gloss and two lipsticks. My kinda colours! Knows me to well :)

As I was writing this post I actually had a call from a guy I went out with a few times and wanted to 'catch up'. Hrmmmm this always sounds suspect to me... avoid avoid avoid!...This is why you never answer blocked numbers people! What are your best lines of excuses to get rid of people? Of late I've been running with 'so busy with work and all, you know, tax time' .... man if that isn't a brush off I don't know what is lol

I have had today off to study but unfortunately I haven' done anything thus far, after I slept in, did some cleaning then went to do groceries and what not... I couldn't stay inside its just too damn nice! I love this weather! Just makes me excited to know that summer is around the corner! Are you a long summer night kinda person or snuggle up to the heater winter chick? I feel like when I was younger winter was the best, now I just love the long days.

I also managed to procrastinate and paint my nails, Essie - Pink Parker. Loving it! Not that you can tell but its neon and loud! Loving this against dark jeans or a little black dress and a tan!

Hope you had a great weekend y'all!

Weekend Wrap Up

Hey Prowlers,

I have been a bit neglectful of my post lately. You know what its like, too busy for your own good.

Last Thursday I ran out of work to grab a few things for the weekend. I didn't realise the shops closed at 7pm (I thought 9pm for some reason).... so I ended up buying under pressure. I bought this gorgeous coral peplum dress from Sportgirl... I had the whole outfit planned in my head.. my tan wedges, gold jewlery... and I get home and find this!

DAMN YOU SECURITY TAG!!

It made me so mad because I knew I didn't really have much time to take it back and get it removed. However it maybe a blessing in disguise, after trying on the dress with my shoes etc, from the front I thought yep loving this, then I turned around and thought good god, this really is not forgiving! I don't remember my butt looking like this ... ahhh I guess thats what happens when you neglect the squats haha!

After the coral dress purchase I ran over to Forever new. I went there for one of the cute new dresses they have but ended up with this outfit.....

I bought both the peplum floral top and white collarless jacket.
I am a HUGE fan of Forever New. They have great stuff all the time. I don't know if I'm getting to old for it but I don't care! The jeans are bettina Liano Curvy Fit and RMK coral wedges. I bought some gold costume jewelry from Diva as I think it suits the outfit better than my standard silver. Generally I'm a dress girl, but I thought I should try to embrace jeans! I thought I did okay for a non jeans wearer haha

The weekend didn't turn out to be a drunken mess after all! Friday night Mez and I had work drinks for End of Financial Year. We were happy to be told Moscato was on the menu ... horray! I ended up driving , and found this to be a real drainer! Next time I will organise myself better so I can enjoy the bevi's.

When I woke up on Saturday I felt a bit NQR for some reason... turns out so was Pani .. and she ended up at my place around 6ish. I got a few things done around the house etc, but really I needed that extra sleep. Anyway, so by the time we yabbered on for hours it was 8pm so we had to make a decision on what to do. The thought of dressing up in next to nothing for a night on the town did not appeal so we opted for dinner. We were going to try Mamacita's but I did read its a line up kinda situation so I randomly picked a Lebanese restaurant called Mezza at the top of Lygon. By the time we got there it was around 9pm but well and truley packed. (Sorry about my dodgy photography!)

Street view....

Falafel, fried cauliflower and some sort of Lebanese salady mix.

Some awesome potatoes

Lamb rice and veg... totally forget the name. Looks boring but tasted great.

The funniest part was that they cranked up the Lebo music and out came the belly dancer. Call me a prude but I didn't know where to look! I must have had this unsure look on my face and the girl came right up to me and was like swishing around and what not... awkward! I said to her..."you just came up to me because I look petrified" and she said I wouldn't do that! I thought ...Sure you wouldn't! ... you get joy out of seeing my fear lol

Some of the people there were getting way into it, full dancing old school style. Probably the only chance those old guys could dance with a half naked woman lol.... Anyway it was funny to watch and at least the place had a good atmosphere. We had a great waitress.... she was pretty friendly.. extra tips for her!

Usually Pani and I waste most of Sunday if she comes to stay, but this time we thought we would go into the city.. the weather was awful! After returning the coral dress back to sportsgirl (the girl was ultra apologetic, but it was the mall store to blame not melb central so she can be forgiven), we stopped in at Mecca.... far out I could browse that shop for hours. I love all that beauty stuff... no wonder I'm broke and have nothing to show for it! I did however restrain myself and bought these beauties....

Kit 'Shine On' and 'Game On' and a 4 way nail file.... You know file, buff, smooth, shine. Honestly the girl raved on about it at the counter, but I have bought the same thing from Woolies that has Smooth, Buff and Shine and does the same job.. but for $6.95 I don't really care. Kit has some awesome nail colours, if your into the nail polish like me, I would definitely recommend to check it out! I'm pretty sure the polishes cost $15.95 .. they are Australian made too, which is always a bonus!

Upon Pani's request, Game on.....

Pani bought some awesome coral jeans surprisingly from Dotti and black peplum top from Forever New. We are loving the peplum let me tell you that much!

Meanwhile Pani and I were talking about where singles are supposed to find decent guys! Every guy I meet out turns out to be a flat out sleaze!....  Sometimes I think I am too nice for my own good......  The retards we have on our plates are just not worth it I can tell you that much! (sorry if your reading this .... well not really... get your act together you loser! grr!)

My threading appointment in on Wednesday which I hope goes to plan! Miss Fox better not let me down damn it hehe

How was your weekend? Do you find winter adventures that more difficult when the temperature at night hovers around 5 degrees!? I guess thats why one drinks heavily before they leave the house lol I am becoming weak in my older age!
