The week that was

Hi Guys!

Not much to report really... in a month is my next exam, so basically my weekends now are full study mode. I'm going to be studying like a Boss.. Literally! The subject is kind of interesting so far, but I just hope I can retain it!

Last Friday night I caught up with a friend for dinner and drinks in the city. And nooooo when I say a 'friend' I literally mean a friend - considering I've been such a hermit lately there are no men in sight haha. But anywho back on topic, so I catch up with my friend, and we went for a few drinks first at Campari House. It was so noisy, I was the old person saying "what" "I miss that first part" "huh?!"... So after one drink we were out (plus I was starving!). We went to this cool pizza place on Little Bourke called 39 Pizzeria. Am I late on the bandwagon for this place, I thought it was so tasty! I am going to go back because I want to try some of the stuff the people on the table across from us were woofing down hehe.

Tuesday night I finally got to Myer to get my brows done. I can never just book same day at the brow bar anymore, its kind of frustrating for me because I'm such a last minute person now especially because of the extra travel I do. I often just book things same day depending on how I feel. But Tuesday was all good, tinted and shaped, happy days. While I was in Myer I thought I'd go for a wander, and they had this super cute dress on sale at 30% off. Turns out the mid season sale was starting the next day so I was lucky to pick up it up early!

Wayne by Wayne Cooper - Pocket Posies Bind Detail Dress

I just looked this up and its not a sale item anymore! What sneaky little buggers hey.... well good for me, I scored the discount! haha

Its one of my high school friends 30th Birthday coming up and the plan is to hijack her out of gtown and go for a dinner in the city. I remember domestic divinity going to trunk restaurant and saying how good it was... has anyone been there recently?

Yay its grand final weekend, which means the days will get longer and the weather only gets better from here. I really hope the Hawks win... only because I can't stand Freo! and you gotta go for the Victorian side if your a Victorian don't you? hehe

Have a great weekend y'all :)

Shopping Rampage

Okay so I come back from Bali cashed up, basically I found the shopping terrible! The only things I bought were some body shop stuff, and this classic Chloe wallet. In hindsight I probably should of bought it online as I did overpay, but eh... I do really love it, and I'm glad its in my hands! Courtesy of the Galleria duty free mall in Bali.

I adore this wallet, its big enough to fit all my rubbish in it. I can even get my phone in there! Yippeeee!

I once again have gone lipstick/gloss crazy. I can't stop myself, I hang out at makeup counters like a bad smell, maybe I do have a problem?! I literally bought a stack a few months ago and nearly all are run out, and I bought 3 new ones being YSL, Dior and MAC.

Anywho one of my latest favourites is Candy Yum Yum lipstick by Mac. I tracked it down in Geelong and I was so excited because the Myer in the city had sold out!

I have this colour in mind with just a plain black dress. The colour is awesome I love it!

Last Friday night I took my time trying on dresses in Myer for ages! There were so many beautiful dresses in for Spring - I was like a kid in a candy shop! But my main task was to get a couple of work dresses as I'm not really feeling my work wardrobe at the moment!

I bought this David Lawrence dress because its just classic. Simple and comfy, its the perfect work attire.

The material is a Navy Blue, and really lightweight.

I also bought this Leona Edmiston dress... she has some awesome flattering styles. Just gotta try them on and suss it out yourself. I know this dress isn't to everyone's liking, but its really comfortable and you feel really feminine in it.

Fancy a mecca maxima bag sitting there in the background haha

Talking about Mecca, its no secret that its my fav shop! Before I went to Bali I stocked up on illuminator, tinted moisturiser and the like. My makeup collection now has a lot of NARS products - obviously Meccas influence. But I really do want a few foundation. Out of everything I've updated, I just can't let go my revlon photoready. I love it, it lasts all day and has awesome coverage. But I burn through the bottles, and wonder if I should take the plunge and trial a few new foundations. Do you have any recommendations - its just gotta be long wearing! I hate getting to 5pm and realising all of my makeup has come off!

Its Christmas time!!!!

Heya Prowlers!

I am the worst blogger ever! I know I know!

BUT I'M BACK! with an attempt to be a good little blogger hehe

Is it just me, or has Christmas come around ultra fast! I'm determined to get into the Christmas spirit this year ... My year hasn't exactly gone to plan so I want to make an attempt of a great Xmas and New year! I love my optimism about New Year... however its often quite the let down...  My last 3 New years have been at Docklands and every event I've been to has just been crap! I'm still haunted by my experience at the Watermark... they ripped us off, and had hardly any bar staff to cater for everyone and therefore impossible to get a drink - not to mention a dud crowd. We did another event at a place I can't quite remember the name, but it was another horrid night. Bogan central! One of the better nights was H2O... but still wasn't thrilled by it either. I was speaking to Mez today and we both agree Docklands is where fun goes to die! But I'll keep you posted on what I decide to do!

Anyway more importantly back to CHRISTMAS!.... Last week I thought its about time I got myself a Christmas tree. I just decided on a fakey... especially since I'm solo and carting that little baby up to my floor of the block didn't sound like my idea of fun! I got this giant 6 footer for $27 from Big W! Can you believe how cheap! I texted my dad to tell him I got it from there where he replied with "I can't believe you shopped at BigW"... (He thinks i'm a brand snob, I proved him wrong huh!). I also got the lights and star from there too... seriously that place is the bomb for Christmas decos at el-cheapo prices!

TA DAAA!!!!

I must admit I did buy some gorgeous Christmas ornaments from Myer before my venture to BigW. I love them all, and they had 30% off so its hard to say no really! I could say no to the hyperactive children running around the decorations section of Myer. Look I know I don't have children and I am sounding like the Christmas grinch, but as I pondered at my lighting choices, some kid ran over, fell to the floor and whacked my legs and was looking up at me like I'm the weirdo. His mum didn't say anything .. I thought it was odd .. is it okay to let random kids just hit you on the legs while your minding your own business? Hence the reason I ran off to BigW ... I shouldn't be such a kid hater, to be honest majority of the kids were pretty cute, amazed by all the Christmas trinkets to choose from!

I didn't think through my shopping as I had to carry a Xmas tree and bags of random decos etc back to the car on a very busy Sunday afternoon! Dumb decision... I was grumpy and irritable by the end.... but my mood quickly changed once I got home and started putting up the tree!

I love these glass ornaments ... my brothers would always break them when we were little! Myer had so many of them I was like a kid in a candy store!

I posted this on Insta (kitty1983) ... my Camera skills are terrible!

Anyway so I'm happy I feel quite festive with my tree up... now to accumulate a few presents to sit underneath!

I got some great little gifts from Myer today! Myer has a awesome section of stocking fillers and gift packs in the back left hand corner of the store on ground level (Myer Melbourne City store).

This candle smells AMAZING! I'm not sure if its soy or anything fancy but the scent alone is a winner.

These MOR packs are so cute! They even include a mini candle!

What are your fail safe Xmas stocking fillers? I feel like i'm giving the same old thing!

Results of Melbourne Cup Shop Day ....

Heya guys...

Can I just start out by saying after getting pressured into the sweep at work I ended up $75 up! Woo Hoo! Thats my Stakes Day Betting money in check!

So as you probably read last post I was on a mission on cup day to find my stakes day outfit. Originally I had my eyes set on a particular black lace David Lawrence dress but funnily enough, out of stock!

I actually ended up trying on heaps of dresses and I had major problems being hemline and many of the colours out there actually did not suit my skin tone and made me look old.... If I see yellow I need to walk away. It just doesn't work. oh and mint green... makes me look old!

Anyway I was starting to loose patience but I pulled myself together walked into DJ's and decided to just take my time and rummage through every possible rack....

but Horrah! I found something!....

Dress - Table Eight $229.99

Seriously my 'normal' face always looks so angry. I think at this point I'm concerned with the fact that I need need to waste more time (and money) at the shops in the undergarment department to purchase underwear that hikes up to my chest to flatten my stomach lol ....But that said I still bought!

I ventured to Myer as they had a discount on all millinery .. generally hats don't suit me so I was looking for a clip, headband type thing.

I tried this on for size... Not for me, as you can tell by the unhappy look on my face...

Triple Flowers on Headband $59.95
(plus 25% off and a $20 gift card = $24.96 cheap!)

Second one I tried... and we have a winner! I think its pretty cute even if I do say so myself!

On my way home I thought I would detour to Sydney Road for True Blue Shoes. They have the best sale on at the moment. One pair or shoes for $70 or two pairs for $100! And because I love Tony Bianco its absolute heaven for me! I think most of my shoes are from there! Anyway I found a pair of black pumps but they ran out of my size... I guess it wasn't  to be :(

I took this at home... I really need to master the full body photo... you can hardly see me! I have on my mimco black pumps but I kept thinking about the peep toes I saw at True Blue shoes on Sydney road.

So here are some more random pictures if your interested....

So you can see the headband properly....

From the Front....

And the back....

As I stewed over not buying the shoes from True Blue I thought I'd have a quick look at the peep toe website. I found these gorgeous things for $49.95! and only my size left! (40 - 9.5) I had to buy! But I think I maybe pushing it to get them by Saturday. Ah well I'm sure I'll find another event to wear them to!

I have a black Fiorelli clutch which I have had for years! I love it so much.... and I think my outfit is complete with it ... except for the fake tan!

So I kind of detoured from the full elegant look I wanted to go for... but ah well... Hopefully it all comes together on the day!

So what do you guys honestly think? Yay or nah? xxx

Solo shopping has its upside!

Hi Guys,

I was supposed to go to Geelong tonight but instead I headed straight into the city after work! Which was silly, I told a friend I was busy, thinking I'd be going to Geelong and that next Friday I'll catch up with her. Instead whats happened is I ended up getting freed up this Friday and next week I'm going to a work thingy so shops afterwards mightn't be the smartest idea! I hate going back on agreeing to plans, no matter how honest you are, it always sounds like bull to the other party.

Anywho, I don't know about you but I really enjoy going to the shops on my own sometimes! I do enjoy going with friends, but going solo means I can do everything I want! (...and yes its me just being selfish haha). So today I went to Myer to pick up the layby I yabbered on about last post. I decided to keep the crop jacket... and returned the dress. When I got home, I put on the crop jacket on, and far out, my chest is huge! I really hope my running assists in reducing them, they are getting in the way of fashion! haha But I am keeping it as I love it so!!

David Lawrence Crop Jacket $229

There were actually quite a few people in Myer for a Friday night - I think the sales draw a few more extra faces! There seemed to be some great sale items on the second floor - I really wanted to go back and go through a few racks, but I knew that could be a spending disastor so I kept on walking - straight to the Benefit Brow Bar.

Earlier today I thought enough is enough - time to attack my bushy eyebrows! haha ... And I questioned Mez about visiting the benefit brow bar in Myer - her response was tried it, they were good - so thought I'd give it a go. I'm at the point now where I am willing to try anything! If you follow Mez's blog you will know she is a big fan of Miss Fox... and I too did visit the girls at brow theory. Although I liked the results, getting an appointment at a time that suits was just getting ridiculous. I found this really annoying, especially since my brows grow at stupid times I'm never quite sure how long to leave it. And honestly, the whole threading thing, PAINFUL! I tell you what, hats off to you girls that get their mo threaded! So after a few times getting that done, I went back to the girl that used to do them for me at my local beauty salon. I would always rely on her as she would give a standard non special job, just neat and tidy. But the last time was awful, NEVER AGAIN! She totally thinned them out, and made the middle really uneven. I literally have left my eyebrows for a whole month to recover and they were quite the mess! Which brings me to my adventure to the benefit brow bar!

The brow bar is located in the far left corner on the ground level of Myer and it is a busy little mecca. I never realised it was there before! Anyway I randomly asked if I could get my eyebrows done, and I was popped onto a list, and within 5mins of waiting my name was up! Horray! I didn't get the girls name, but she was fantastic! I liked the fact that you sit in a chair that doesn't make you lie flat - usually when this happen I have my eyes closed, and the therapist decided to get a hard core light right on my eyes. Although my eyes are closed I find this really uncomfortable and causes me to cry. Maybe I'm just sensitive! Anyway results speak for themselves so here is the outcome....Just bare in mind that one of my eyebrows is more 'how you doin' than the other - and always has been!

... and this is my el natural curly hair. What do you think? Honestly I dunno, I think people think it looks crap but pretend they like curls. What do you honestly think? Don't worry I won't be offended by your truth!

I know practically the same picture, just different light...

See how the right eyebrow has a much higher arch... Hence why I call it the how you doin' eyebrow haha (yeah again lame). I actually really like them! What do you guys think!?!

The lovely brow expert then gave me the appropriate coloured brow powder and wax. I was ultra happy with this as I'd be meaning to do this for a long time! I am so in love with benefit products, especially for the fact they include instructions for novices like me, and they are all so damn cute!!!

This little brow shaping kit cost $55... What is great about the benefit counter is the girls often do one side of your face, and you have to try and do it yourself to the other. Its good when your really not sure what your doing.

The brow wax and shape cost $27. They also do all different types of eye things like tinting, and lashes application. Horray! I defiantly will go back to the brow bar! I hope that my follow up experience will be just as good!

Sorry for the complaining over the past few posts about my lack of love life. I actually think maybe the problem is that I'm not 100% happy within myself. I'm going to try and work on some things before I worry about any guys. Don't get me wrong, I am not depresso or anything! I just think maybe I'm quick to point fingers at external factors when really I should be looking within! Yes rather lame but its true!

I'm off to Geelong tomorrow, and yipeeee I'm getting my hair done!!! Will keep y'all posted! Happy Friday :)

Heya guys!

I just switched on Brynne... Hilarious! Who am I kidding, she is living the life and I would too with all that mullah! and let me tell you, this blog would be damn more entertaining haha Although I do question her fashion choices... but eh, who am I to judge!

Not much happening around here. A few months ago, I put a little crop jacket and peplum dress on layby for work. My layby is up, and now I'm not sure if I even want them! They are cute... but there are sales around, and buying anything full price seems a little cray cray! And... as I write this post I just found the dress on the discount list!

David Lawrence - Peplum Ottoman Dress $229 now $179
The dress I got is actually a magenta colour with a black belt. I'm questing if I really want it... What are your thoughts?

David Lawrence - Collarless Pique Crop Jacket $229
I think I'll keep this, I love a crop jacket. And the neutral colour means it will go with practically anything!

I'm getting my hair done on Saturday. I wanted to change it but now I'm going to just run with what the hairdresser says.. I think she did a good last time so I trust her. In addition I have been  rocking the curls again. Sometimes I just cant be bothered blow drying then straightening my hair. Its hard work I tell you! Although I do love the results but you know what is like, before work I value sleep over getting up for the hair straightener.

In addition I just ate Pad Thai that was filled with whole chillies with seeds! Bloody hell,.... that was a world of fire! Never ever again! My tummy is not appreciating it either let me tell you that much lol (I don't know how that makes this blog post - thats as exciting as my life gets).

Thanks for your good messages last post while I ranted over Mr.X! You are all so so right! I did speak to Pani during the week, and it made me feel so much better! Sometimes you just need to vent to a friend who understands where you are coming from. I think sometimes my friends that are taken forget what its like living the single life ... and I don't mean that in a bad way at all! Its just that they are all about 'just get rid of him' and 'don't waste your time' but I feel like i'm 29 and should I be so quick to just not even give people a chance?  I mean, I'm not perfect either... maybe I need to work on some things too. Ultimately, I know they are right , but sometimes it feels like its easy for them to say as they go home to their other half. and I'm not saying being with someone isn't hard work either, its just that sometimes it feels they forget what it can be like being a singleton! I guess thats whats good about having friends at all different stages in life... always another perspective about a situation but I love them all! Far out such rambling!

I'm so looking forward for my exam to be over... It will be done by the end of the month (26th to be exact!) ... then freedom. I feel I should bribe myself to pass with some sort of shopping expedition  Maybe I should put a proposal to my mum.. a extra christmas pressie? lol I sound so greedy! But I need to see a reward for the trouble... and the problem is I am a material girl ... (you know how it goes)

For the weekend I noticed the weather is going cold again (boo!)... I'll be in Gtown and then back up here for some study time. I think to aid my healthy eating I need to hit the market as well! I want some tasty fresh fruit and veg... and the best I've had is from the organic section at the vic market. Sometimes the food looks not as shiny but man its so much tastier!

Well I'm off to watch another tragic show to get addicted to (beauty and the geek)... have a great upcoming weekend y'all :)
